Flavorize is a recommendation engine powered by a deep understanding of food (break a dish or food item down into its core components - flavors, textures, preparations, dietary restrictions) and recommend dishes tailored to a user's flavor profile. We've built a platform to drive personalized recommendations in the food space by allowing users to create and carry their flavor profiles with them across a network of food-related sites. Our food genome creates pre-generated flavor profiles for most dishes/food items (down to elements such as: ingredients, flavors, textures, preparations and dietary restrictions) and a recommendation engine that calculates how likely you are to like a certain dish (FlavorMatch scores) and how similar your tastes are to other users.
